Sizing Guide

How to Measure Your Nails at Home
Follow these steps to get the perfect fit for your custom press-on set:
1. Place transparent tape over the nail
Lay a small piece of clear tape horizontally across the widest part of your nail.
2. Press down on the sides to crease
Smooth the tape so it hugs the natural nail shape and creates a clear crease line.
3. Use a pen to mark the left side
Make a small dot or line at the exact point where your nail ends on the left side.
4. Mark the right side next
Do the same on the right side.
5. Carefully remove the tape
Peel the tape off gently, making sure your markings stay visible.
6. Measure in millimeters
Place the tape on a flat surface and measure the distance between the marks using a ruler (mm only).
Determine Your Nail Shape: Flat vs. Structured Nails
This step is VERY important because it helps us decide which press-on shape base will fit you comfortably.
✨ Flat Nails (Low Apex)
Your nails are likely flat if:
-
They look mostly straight from cuticle to free edge
-
There's little to no arch when viewed from the side
-
Press-ons tend to lift at the sides if the curve is too strong
-
When you press a curved nail on top of your natural nail, the middle lifts and doesn’t sit flush
Best fit: flatter press-on bases, soft square, softer structure
✨ Structured Nails (Curved / High Apex)
Your nails are likely structured if:
-
They have a noticeable C-curve when viewed from the side
-
The nail bed has a natural raised “apex” in the center
-
Press-ons with a flat base tend to lift at the center
-
Curved press-ons sit flush more easily
Best fit: curved/structured nail tips, deeper C-curve options
Why This Matters
Accurate width measurement + correct nail structure =
✔️ Better fit
✔️ Longer wear
✔️ No lifting
✔️ More natural look
We use official Apres Gel-X™ soft gel tips for all Serene press-ons.
They are premium, long-lasting, and sculpt beautifully — but they do have very specific sizes.
Use the chart below to match your measurements to the correct tip number.

✨ Standard Serene Nail Club Press-On Sizes (Apres Gel-X)

❗ If Your Nails Don’t Fit Standard Sets
Gel-X tips are very specific.
If your thumb is wide, nail beds are flat, or sides are flared, you must choose the Custom option.
You’ll enter your measurements in this order:
Thumb → Index → Middle → Ring → Pinky
(Left and right if they differ)
✨ Important Notes About Apres Gel-X Fit
1. They run narrower than regular press-ons
Meaning: if your nails are flat, you may need to size up and file.
2. Curved nails fit Gel-X perfectly
The stronger apex and curve hug the nail extremely well.
3. Flat nails may need “structure adjustments”
We thin the apex or soften the curve so the fit is flush — included in your custom set price.
4. Not all nails are symmetrical
If one hand has different sizes, we will create a mixed set.
